PROGRAM
SERVICES
Community Action offers a variety of programs and services. (household
income, location of residency, etc.).
Programs and services include:
- Head Start (ages 0-5)
- Project Attention (school-based family support services)
- Latino Family Development (supportive services for
persons whose primary language is Spanish)
- Homeless Prevention Services (rent and utility assistance for income
eligible applicants)
- Weatherization
- Energy and Radon Education
- Elderly Services (ages 60 and above)
- Durable Medical Equipment and Supply Loan Program
- Masonic Liquid Nutrition Services
- Rural Commodity Delivery
- Back-To-School Fair (annual event)
- Resource Development
- Child and Adult Care Food Program
- Affordable Housing
- Permanent Supportive Housing for persons with Severe and Persistent
Mental Illness
- The First Tee of Shawnee County (life skills
development through golf and character education)
- Safe Kids of Shawnee County (infant/child care safety
seat program for income eligible families)
