Summer Food Program - providing reimbursement to summer food sites to insure proper nutrition of children 0-18 during the summer months. Contact Marion Nichols (316) 775-3000
Head Start - 10 centers located in Augusta, El Dorado, Eureka, Great Bend, Halstead, Hoisington, Leon, Larned, Lyons and Newton. Also home based program and early intervention program are available. The programs provide education services, meals, health exams and parent counseling. Head Start enrollment consists of at least 10% disabled children.
